| 英文描述 | BORDETELLA AVIUM causes turkey coryza, or bordetellosis, a highly contagious upper respiratory disease of young turkeys. This is also an opportunistic pathogen in chickens affected with other agents (Jackwood et al.). Has been isolated from pet birds. Dx by isolation of the organism from affected birds. Pathological lesions include exudative rhinitis, sinusitis, tracheitis with hyperemia of the trachea, and bronchopneumonia. Some also had air sacculitis, adhesive pericarditis and perihepatitis, enlarged spleen, and miliary grey foci on the liver. |
